Amy Marie Boggs

May 8, 1979 – February 2, 2020

Amy Boggs passed away on Sunday, February 2, 2020 after fighting a battle against cancer. She was with her mom and Tom Cooper when she lost the fight. Amy was born in Grand Rapids, MI to Johnnie and Roxanne (Houghtaling) Boggs. She worked 18 years at Krispy Kreme Doughnuts as a delivery driver and route sales supervisor. She was a very hard worker and hated to miss work. Amy was very involved with FIRST robotics volunteering her time and energy for her son’s team and stayed on after he graduated. She enjoyed trying many new things. She was loved by many and her smile could make anyone happy. Amy is survived by her son - Ryk A. Sacha of Grand Rapids, mother - Roxanne Boggs of Grand Rapids, Brothers - Dan Boggs of Whitehall, Andy (Laura) Boggs of Grand Rapids, Matthew Polderdyk of Kentwood. Sisters - Sara (Tom) Quam, Michelle Kibler of Grand Rapids, Mickaylla and Gabrielle McNeal of Toledo Ohio. Nieces and Nephews – Jonathan Boggs of San Francisco, CA, Westley Spielmaker, Cody and Emily Boggs, Kelby, Jaycee, Brooklyn, and Riley Quam of Grand Rapids, Leah Byrd of Rockford. Many loving aunts, uncles and cousins. Extended family Stan Sacha and Myth-ann Cunningham of Grand Rapids She also leaves behind her boyfriend Tom Cooper of Kentwood and her best friend Olivia Hickey. Amy was preceded in death by her father Johnnie (Jay) Boggs and her grandparents John & Lois Houghtaling and John & Shirlene Boggs.
