Amy Bowyer

With deep sadness we announce the passing of Amy Beth Bowyer, age 44, of Howard City, Michigan, on Tuesday, September 9, 2025. Amy was a devoted wife, mother, nana, sister, and friend and truly cherished spending time with her family at various get-togethers and parties. She loved to host, especially Halloween parties. Despite the challenges she faced, Amy always maintained a positive outlook. Amy was known for being giving, caring, and creative and in her spare time enjoyed crafting. She was also a strong supporter of the Pink Dress Run. She was preceded in death by her father, Bruce Boomstra; grandparents, Ruth Brower and Kenneth Brower, Robert Boomstra and Laura Boomstra. She is survived by her husband of 23 years, William A. Bowyer Jr.; daughters, Makenna Bowyer, Keira Boomstra, Alisa Bowyer; sweet grandsons, Luca and Armani; loving mother, Kathleen Boomstra; brother and sister-in-law, Andrew and Kristy Boomstra; sister and brother-in-law, Anne and Matthew Bergsma; many nieces and nephews; extended family and friends. Relatives and friends may visit with the family on Sunday, September 14, from noon to 3 p.m. at Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Funeral Home (Grandville) 4145 Chicago Dr. SW. A graveside service will be held on Monday, September 15, at noon at Floral View Memorial Gardens. Those who wish may make memorial contributions to the American Cancer Society.
