Amy Benner

It is with great sadness that we announce the calling home to be with her Lord, Amy Jo Ann Benner on October 15, 2024, at the age of 41. Amy was born and raised in Hudsonville, Michigan, to Joseph and Mary Ann LaCosse. She was a beloved wife to her husband, Jon Benner; daughter to her parents; mother of her two children, Isabella and Aiden Silva; sister to Rachael, Kristen, Andrew, Joey; and aunt to Angel, Maggie, Eli, and Lily.

Amy was known for being proudly authentic, endlessly creative, and devoted as she took great pride in her career managing Changing Thymes. She was filled with tenderness, unconditional love, and acceptance of everybody, as she made it her mission in life to assure her loved ones were filled with confidence, pure happiness, and comfort at all times. Amy enjoyed spending quality time with her family and friends, and practicing her incredibly strong, eager, and passionate relationship with the Lord.

Amy is best described as spontaneous, yet reserved, eternally considerate, charismatic, and bravely ambitious, as she was well known to set goals and achieve them consistently, exceed expectations of how to love fiercely, and was astonishingly beautiful.

Amy Benner, a beacon of kindness, love, and pure joy, will forever reside in our hearts. Her legacy will continue to inspire and guide many, as we grasp the loss of her physical presence. 

Funeral services will be held on Monday, October 21, at 11 a.m. at Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Funeral Home (Grandville) 4145 Chicago Dr. SW with Rev. David Porath officiating. Relatives and friends may visit with the family on Monday from 10-11 a.m. prior to the service at the funeral home. Those who wish may make memorial contributions to Jon Benner to assist with the financial needs of their children.
