Amber Peterson

Peterson – Amber R. Peterson, aged 35 of Grand Rapids, went to be with her Lord and Savior Friday, August 28, 2020.  Amber is survived by her significant other, Jacob Lang; their 6 year old son, Jaxson; mother, Ann Alksnis, father, Scott Allen;  Aunt Madonna and Uncle John Barczak; brother, Nathan Allen; sister, Rita Umlor; several aunt’s, uncle’s, Jacob's father, Kim (Linda) Lang; relatives and friends. Amber graduated from Coopersville High School in 2003 where she excelled in pole vaulting, band, and cheerleading, She attended Central Michigan University graduating in 2008 with a bachelors in Science Education. She went on to teach art classes which she loved so much. Amber was gifted in drawing and painting. She also had so many interests such as snow boarding, 4-wheeling, dirt biking, travelling and most of all cooking special dishes for her family. Amber always lit up the room with her smile and sense of living for the moment. Even though she struggled with much physical pain, she kept a positive attitude and gratitude for life. She loved others so much that she donated her organs to give others a second chance at life. Amber truly gave of herself in life and death.
