Amanda Lee Spaans, age 35, of Wyoming, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, July 21, 2021. Amanda loved camping, boating, skiing, but most of all, she loved being with her children and family. She will be lovingly remembered by her children: Leah Hite, Kamren Spaans, Amangelo George; father, Todd Spaans; mother, Jackie Pohler; sisters: Kari Spaans, Lisa Spaans; brother, Dustin Spaans; nieces and nephews: Nicholas, Leland, Zyleha, Isaiah, Alexander, Jerzey, Sophia, Louis, Tony; many aunts, uncles and cousins. She was preceded in death by her niece, Saniiaya; grandparents: Jack and Yvonne Spaans, Dennis and Betty Pohler. A memorial service will be held 2:00 p.m. Friday July 30, 2021, at Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Funeral Home, 4031 Clyde Park SW, Wyoming, with Pastor Dennis Gilbert officiating. Relatives and friends may meet the family from 1:00-2:00 pm prior to the service. Memorial contributions may be made to help defray funeral expenses.

My heart goes out to the Spaans Family. Ive known u all for over 20 years. Kari was my best friend growing up as kids an i got to meet u all. We all still remain friends today an i was sadden to hear the news. Amanda u were such a sweet an loving young lady. Do u remember when we were all young kids at Karis birthday party at your Gmas house on oriole we were all bobbing for apples. Lol. We all had so much fun. Im sorry to hear of your passing i will keep everyone in my prayers. Until we meet again Amanda. May u rest easy My Dear Friend

Amanda was like a sister to me she was an amazing beautiful person someone you could count on to have your back when you needed it especially when it was family, I’ve always considered you all part of my family. My deepest condolences go out to the Spaans family. I have known Lisa since 6th grade. I’ve always loved her and enjoyed being around her sisters. Amanda and I had a few moments together that I remember. She was so amazing inside and out. So beautiful, loving and outgoing. I wish I could have spent at least one more day with her. Praying consistently that God lifts this family up and holds them together so they may have peace. Psalm 34:18. “The LORD is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.” I love you all. God bless.
