The Family of Amanda Jo Abel-Sousley are deeply saddened to share with you of her sudden death on July 25, 2025. Amanda is survived by her husband, Timothy Sousley; her son, Lyric Abel; mother, Sandra Abel; brother, Darell Abel; many nephews, nieces and numerous friends she considered family. She had a special spot in her heart for her nephew, Jayden, and she thought of him as a 2nd son and best friend to her son, Lyric. She was preceded in death by her father, Kenneth Able and her brother, Kenneth Rockwell. Amanda was born on October 30, 1975, in Roswell, New Mexico, to Sandra Abel and Kenneth Abel. She lived in several states before settling in Michigan, where she met and married the love of her life, Timothy. Amanda brought such joy to everyone she met. Together with her son Lyric, Amanda made her family of 3 her priority and welcomed friends and other family to come over at any time. She loved a full house and thrived on taking care of people. She was known, among other things, for her charcuterie boards at gatherings. Amanda was a bright light in the world. Everyone who met her felt her energy and love. She didn’t like to be the center of attention but naturally people were drawn to her. Amanda loved music. She found comfort in music throughout her life. Music was in her blood and she brought it into her home as a welcomed extension of herself. She loved to dance, sing and karaoke‘d with spunk. She was competitive, a team player, loved games and gatherings, her homemade aggravation board game, nightmare before Christmas, pool, bowling, poker nights, and all things with family and friends. She volunteered for her son’s activities and loved Halloween as her birthday was October 30th. Amanda was creative and a beautiful person that loved big and completely. She touched so many lives and everyone she touched is better for knowing her. Amanda wore many hats in her life. She was a nanny, nurse, extreme Frisbie mom, audiologist assistant, and many more exciting career experiences. She was a survivalist and had a huge, humble heart. She always dreamed of a life with a family unit and that dream for her came true with Timothy. Amanda was an organ donor and she will live on helping others after her death. According to her wishes, cremation has taken place and a celebration of her life will be held at a later date. Family and friends appreciate your support at this time.
