Alyda   Van Ark

Van Ark, Alyda Alyda Van Ark, age 99, of Wyoming, passed away on Sunday, December 7, 2014 and went to be with her Lord.  She was preceded in death by her husband, John Van Ark; her sons-in-law, Warren Nysson and Lloyd Slagter.  She will be lovingly remembered by her children, Bunk and Norma Van Ark, Gloria Slagter, Sandra and Bob Katsma; grandchildren, Cindy and Jim Kessel, Jill and Kelly Paffhausen, Nancy and Tom Armock, Betsy and Tom Goldsmith, Tim and Celest Katsma, Sue and Chuck Martinie; 21 great grandchildren; 8 great great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.  Funeral services will be held on Wednesday 11 am at Matthysse-Kuiper-DeGraaf Funeral Home (Grandville) 4145 Chicago Dr. SW. with Rev. Harvey Heneveld officiating.  Interment Floral View Memorial Gardens.  Relatives and friends may meet the family Wednesday from 10-10:45 am at the funeral home prior to the service.  Those who wish may make memorial contributions to Sunset Association Benevolent Fund or Faith Hospice.  The family would like to express their gratefulness to Brookcrest Christian Nursing Home and Faith Hospice for the loving care of their mother.
