Alvin Jay Elzinga

Alvin “Tiny” Jay Elzinga, age 85, of Grandville, went to be with his Lord on Friday, April 16, 2021. Tiny started Tiny’s Auto Sales 61 years ago. He loved his family and his cars. He was preceded in death by his wife of 59 years, Mary Lou Elzinga; son, Scott Elzinga. He is survived by his son, Steve Elzinga; daughter, Shelley Weller; grandchildren and great-grandchildren, Allison and Tim Schuchardt (Ava, Noah, Claire), John and Annie Weller (Beckett, Sullivan, Banks), Scott and Shelby Weller (Reid, Zara); sisters, Karen and Dan Lubberts, Marcia and Dale Bouma; sister-in-law, Carolee Zoerhoff. Relatives and friends may meet the family on Tuesday, May 4, 2021, from 5:00-6:45 p.m. at Newhall Community Church, 3746 Byron Center, Wyoming. The service will follow at 7 p.m. at the church, with Rev. Paul Wesselink, officiating. The family wishes to extend a heartfelt thank you to the staff at Vista Springs and a special hospice group of Spectrum Health for their loving care.
