We were Tiny's next door neighbors for 44 years and saw him move through the difficulties of keeping up with his business, loss of his son and eventual decline. We didn't see him during the last few years, and it appeared that Steve had taken the helm of the business, but he will be missed. After I completed my graduate work and matriculated from being a custodian to an English professor, he always referred to me with the greeting, "Hey, Professor!" He will be missed and looking over at the big house behind the car lot, I send my best wishes to everyone who lives there. Peace to you all.

Steve and Shelley, I was saddened to learn that your dad has passed. One of my lasting memories of him was that whenever I was back in Grandville, and he saw me, he would shout out, "Teacher!" Well, I didn't become a teacher, but I'm a librarian, which is pretty close. Many fond memories of your dad and mom and all of you. My deepest sympathy to you and your family.
