Alvin “Al” Jay Boeve

Alvin “Al” Jay Boeve, age 83, of Jenison, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, July 9, 2017. He was a veteran in the US Army, serving during the Korean War. Al was preceded in death by his wife, Elizabeth; grandson, Chad Boeve; sister, Marian Boeve; brothers-in-law, Chet Bruins, Case Groenendal. He will be lovingly remembered by children, Thomas and Roberta Boeve, Edward Sr. and Barb Boeve, John and Tym Boeve, Dorothy and Robert Pyke, Frances Preston; grandchildren, Kelly Maurer and Scot Gore, Crystal and Andrew Meyer, Edward Boeve Jr., Alan Boeve and Taylor Thomson, Anna Boeve, Timothy and Lyndsey Boeve, Keri Desmarais, Chelsea and Ryan Dornbos, Bryan Pyke; great grandchildren, Tristan, Rose, Luke, Ethan, Emily, Juliana, Edward III, Brooke, Meyah, Addison, Nylah, Hayden; sisters and brothers, Joan Bruins, Ed and Marge Boeve, Jake and Jan Boeve, Joyce and Ron Dalman, Jean and David Sybesma; sister-in-law, Theresa Groenendal; many nieces and nephews.  Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, July 12, 2017 at 11 am at Faith Community Christian Reformed Church, 5250 Byron Center SW, Wyoming, with Rev. Roger Groenboom officiating.  Interment Grandville Cemetery.  Relatives and friends may meet the family Tuesday from 5-8 pm at Matthysse-Kuiper-DeGraaf Funeral Home (Grandville) 4145 Chicago Dr. SW, as well as Wednesday from 10-10:45 am prior to the service at the church.  Those who wish may make memorial contributions to World Renew.
