Alma Delia Garcia

Alma Garcia, age 47, of Grand Rapids, was called to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Sunday, June 11, 2023. She will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 27 years, Jose Jesus Rodriguez-Ruiz; children: Michelle Rodriguez (Christopher), Fabian Rodriguez, Jesus Rodriguez; sister, Hallin Garcia; brothers, Gildardo, Marco, Jose Angel, and Francisco Garcia; her parents, Gumercindo and Micaela Garcia; many nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends. Alma loved taking care of her flowers and drinking coffee in the morning outside. Most of all she loved her family!! She was a devoted, loving, caring wife, mother, daughter and sister. She enjoyed traveling to Texas to visit her parents and other family members. She was a wonderful cook and made the best enchiladas. She also enjoyed going shopping with Michelle and eating out at the Olive Garden with her family. Early on she took a job at the elementary school that the children attended so she could be close to them. The Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 am on Wednesday, June 14, 2023 at St. Joseph the Worker, 225 32nd Street SW, Wyoming, with Rev. Jose Luis Quintana presiding. Burial at Resurrection Cemetery. Relatives and friends may meet the family from 10-11 am prior to the service at the church.
