Allen Miiller

Allen Miiller, age 88, of Jenison, went to be with his Lord on Friday, June 27, 2025. He was preceded in death by his wife, Kathryn Miiller. He will be lovingly remembered by his children, Scott and Tania Miiller, Kevin and Dana Miiller, Richard and Cynthia Miiller; five grandchildren; brother-in-law, Leon and Lynda Elliott; extended family and friends. Allen’s faith was central in his life. He was very involved with Grace Lutheran Church, including serving as Sunday School Superintendent. He was a teacher with the Godwin Heights school district for many years. He enjoyed playing cards and games and once had a perfect hand in Cribbage, but his most enjoyable moments were times spent with family. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, July 1, at Grace Lutheran Church, 150 50th Street SW, Wyoming, with Rev. Zachary Marklevitz officiating. The burial will take place at Rosedale Memorial Park. Relatives and friends may meet the family Monday, June 30, from 6-8 p.m. at Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Funeral Home (Grandville) 4145 Chicago Dr. SW and on Tuesday from 10-11 a.m. at the church prior to the service. Those who wish may make memorial contributions to Grace Lutheran Church.

I was blessed to know Al through Grace Lutheran Church, where I served as the preschool director. He was always so kind, loving, and full of encouragement. Al had a gentle presence and a genuine heart that made everyone feel seen and supported. His words lifted my spirit more times than I can count, and his faith was truly an inspiration. He will be deeply missed, and I’m so thankful to have known him.

Al was the kindest person I have ever known. He always gave you his full attention and took keen interest in what you were doing. I was very lucky to have had him in my life as father-in-law of my sister Dana. We enjoyed Kay & Al’s winters in Florida and our many cookouts and their stories. Rest in peace Al, we loved you. ❤️

Because Jesus lives, Al lives for eternity. Therefore, Al remains a redeemed child of God. May this comfort, peace and hope surround his family as they mourn. He will certainly be missed. My wife and I are blessed to remember all things Al - one who loved God’s Word, hymns played with an organ and accordion, why not, Minot, John Deere, his love for Grace and the message found in every inch of its architecture, his writing of kind and loving cards along with his faithful encouragement. His love was genuine and supportive. But he will always be defined by Christ living in him. Thank you Al for blessing Marcia and myself. Thanks be to God we will see you again. Well done, good and faithful servant. Enjoy your inheritance in heaven with Kay and all the saints!!!!

Mr. Miiler was my 6th grade teacher. He told us how he would rotate the tires of his car while being home from college, how his legs were burned, his family name was Muller - and the reason if was spelled with two i's. Being a kind man who cared for others, may his family and friends cherrish his memory during this time of grieving. My his soul rest in Peace.
