Alida Glas

Alida Glas, age 89, of Grand Rapids, passed onto her heavenly home, Thursday, May 21, 2020. Alida was born on July 1, 1930, in BroekopLangedijk, The Netherlands, to John and Thea Wagenaar. She and her family emigrated to the United States in 1949. On December 21, 1951, she was united in marriage to Abram Glas, and they enjoyed many good years together. He preceded her in death. Also preceding her in death were son, Richard, and great granddaughter, Abigail Hanson. Alida will be lovingly remembered by children: Ron (Jeannette) Glas, Ken (Gail) Glas, Karen (Tim) Leep, daughter-in-law law, Denise Glas, Steve (Diane) Glas, Paul (Madeline) Glas; 18 grandchildren; 30 great grandchildren; 1 great great grandchild. She is also survived by brothers, Jim (Nancy) Wagenaar, Peter (Marjorie) Wagenaar; brothers-in-law, Joe Glas, Arie Gritter; sister-in-law, Grace Mulder; many nieces, nephews, and cousins. A celebration of life is being planned for later this summer.
