Alice May Spanninga, age 86, passed away on Wednesday, September 21, 2016 and went to be with her Lord. She was preceded in death by her husband, Phillip. She will be lovingly remembered by her children, Lori and Michael Morehouse, Beth and Naveed Hamid, Ron Spanninga, Russ and Joy Spanninga; several grandchildren and great grandchildren; sisters and brother and their spouses; many nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held on Saturday 11 am at Matthysse-Kuiper-DeGraaf Funeral Home (Grandville) 4145 Chicago Dr. SW, with Rev. Dale Fopma officiating. Interment Garfield Park Cemetery. Relatives and friends may meet the family on Saturday from 10-11 am at the funeral home prior to the service. Those who wish may make memorial contributions to Faith Hospice or the Grand Rapids Home for Veterans.
