Alexander Disla-Garcia

Alexander Disla-Garcia, age 42, of Wyoming, was reunited with his son in heaven on Wednesday, April 28, 2021. Alex was hardworking, fun-loving and full of life. He enjoyed watching baseball and playing in the minor leagues and on the weekends with his friends. Alex always put his children first and was the life of the party. He was preceded in death by his son, Alex Disla; mother, Maria Garcia; grandparents, Julia and Anito Disla. He will be lovingly remembered by his girlfriend, Ruth Chavez; children, Delayna Disla, Miguel, Pamela, and Leilani; stepson, David Chavez; former wife, Maritsa Mendez; brothers and sister, Maximo and Silvia Disla, Jose Antonio Mendez, Yudelca Disla-Garcia and Pedro Montero, and Geraldo Tavarez; best friend, Ada Martinez; nephews, Anthony and Dana Disla, Omar Disla; and many friends. Private family funeral services will be held on Saturday, May 8, 2021, at 11:00 a.m. at Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Funeral Home, 4145 Chicago Dr. SW, Grandville. The service will be live streamed and can be viewed on the funeral home website by clicking on the “live streams and recordings” tab. Relatives and friends may meet the family Friday, May 7, from 3:30-8 p.m. at the funeral home. A graveside service will be held on Saturday at Georgetown Township Cemetery at 12:30 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the family to assist with funeral expenses.
