Alex J. Chea, age 76, of Jenison, passed away on Tuesday, November 3, 2026. Alex enjoyed raising finches, gardening, and antiques. He was preceded in death by his parents, Alexander and Georgia Chea; sister, Georgia Jean Sharlow; and brother, Colin Chea. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 27 years, Pamella Chea; children, Alexander and Betsy Chea, Christopher and Justine Chea, Justin Reed; five grandchildren, Liliana, Joey, Alex, Luca, and Leo; Colin’s life-partner, Nadya Abdella; mother-in-law, MaryAnn Lilley; brothers-in-law, James Lilley, Scott Lilley. Relatives and friends are invited to visit with the family on Tuesday, November 10, from noon to 2 p.m. at Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Funeral Home (Grandville) 4145 Chicago Dr. SW. A graveside service will be held at Georgetown Township Cemetery on Tuesday at 2:30 p.m. Those who wish may make memorial contributions to The Humane Society of West Michigan, The American Heart Association or Corewell Health Hospice.
