Aletha Oppenhuizen

Aletha Oppenhuizen, age 85, of Jenison passed away peacefully into the arms of her Lord on Friday, January 11, 2019. She was still semi-active at the Georgetown Senior Center. Aletha was preceded in death by her loving husband, Harry Oppenhuizen; son, Jon Eric Oppenhuizen; great granddaughter, Elizabeth Oppenhuizen; parents, Henry and Martha Bosch; infant brother and sister, Andrew and Albertha Bosch. She will be lovingly remembered by her daughter, Lois Eaton; son, Henry and Lisa Oppenhuizen; grandchildren, Amanda Lee Eaton, Adam and Amanda Lynn Eaton, Tim and Maryanne Oppenhuizen, Thomas Oppenhuizen, Tara and Chad Hudson, Eric Oppenhuizen; 16 great grandchildren; sister and best friend, Tootie and Kelly Kallemeyn; 6 nieces and nephews; and 9 great nieces and nephews. We, as a family, would like to thank the staff at the Laurels of Hudsonville for four years of care for our mother, and also send a thank you to the palliative care group at Metro Hospital for their care at the end. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. on Friday, January 18, 2019, at Wyoming Park Bible Fellowship, 2260 Porter Street SW, Wyoming, with Pastor John Dubois officiating. Interment Georgetown Township Cemetery. Relatives and friends may meet the family Friday from 9:30-11 a.m. at the church prior to the service. Those who wish may make memorial contributions to the Thanks Living Fund at Wyoming Park Bible Fellowship.
