Aleta June Postema

We are saddened to announce the passing of Aleta June Postema, age 70, on February 16, 2021. She died peacefully in the company of loved ones after a brief battle with cancer. 

Aleta celebrated 52.5 years of marriage with her dear husband, Larry. She learned how to do upholstery on her own and ran a successful business for many years. She gave all of herself to her family, and knew how to make everyone laugh. She always put her family’s needs above her own.

Aleta will be remembered for her kind heart, spunky personality, sense of humor, colorful clothing, and great stories. She will also be remembered for her talents with upholstery, artistic ability, amazing fudge, and beautiful flower gardens adorned with wind chimes. She lived life to the fullest, including her frequent trips to Las Vegas to be with her sister. Anyone who met her quickly found she was a delightful person to talk to. She never met a stranger. She also loved to embarrass her children’s friends and spouses.

Aleta was preceded in death by her parents, Ed and Ruby Little, and her brother, Mike. She is survived by her husband, Larry; her four children, Melissa (Mike) Pellerito, Cheri (Jeff) Noorman, Neil Postema, and Christopher (April) Postema; 12 grandchildren, Austin, Kristina, Joshua, Chandler, Ashley, Sebastian, Raene, Ruby, Alexis, Riley, Rowyn, and Hannah; and four siblings and their families, Judy Holmes, Ron (Gloria) Little, Terry (Ann) Little, and Cindy Little. 

 An announcement for a private gathering of family and friends to celebrate Aleta’s life will posted on Facebook at a later time.
