Albers, Leonard C.

Leonard C. Albers, age 85, of Jenison, passed away peacefully into the arms of his Savior on Friday, April 15, 2016.  He proudly served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War.  He was preceded in death by his infant daughter and his parents, Pete and Hattie Albers.  He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 63 years,  Jackie; children:  Jan and Dave Wiersma, Jim and Joy Albers; grandchildren,  Cara and Mike Curry, Jana and Dave Dykstra, Scott and Stacy Albers, Tim and Sarah Albers, Joe and Abby Albers; 13 great grandchildren; sister-in-law,  Carol and Bob Borst; many nieces and nephews.  Funeral services will be held on Tuesday 11 am at Hope Christian Reformed Church, 3110 Barrett Street SW, Grandville, with Rev. Dale Fopma officiating.  Interment Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.  Relatives and friends may meet the family Monday from 2-4 and 6-8 pm at Matthysse-Kuiper-DeGraaf Funeral Home (Grandville) 4145 Chicago Dr. SW and on Tuesday from 10-11 am at the church prior to the service.  In lieu of flowers, those who wish may make memorial contributions to Hope CRC Mission Fund or Sunset Legacy Foundation.
