A private funeral service for family only will be held on Monday, July 6, 2020, at 1:00 p.m. at Grandville Jenison Congregational Church, 3900 Henry St. SW, Grandville, with Rev. My very first ride along when I started my ems training was with Al and E29. I ran many calls with Al over the years. May you be rewarded well for all the lives you impacted, pain you lessened and fears you quelled with your quiet confidence. I am proud to call you a friend, rest well.

My heart is heavy hearing of Al's passing. I worked with Al when the e-unit was still in serve. What a wonderful person and example of what a caring and kind heart could do for those just learning ems as a career. We shall meet again my friend and the stories we will share. Condolences to your blood family and your fire ems family . .
