Aileen Roelofs

Aileen Roelofs, of Jenison, whom God faithfully blessed for 100 years, was welcomed home to her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, October 27, 2015. She was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, John. She will be lovingly remembered by her children, Carol and Ralph Brunsting, Linda and Ron DeGolier, Fred and Cora Roelofs, Laverne and Janet Roelofs, Marcia and Jack Veldhouse; 14 grandchildren, 32 great grandchildren, and 7 great great grandchildren, all of whom Aileen prayed for faithfully. She will also be remembered by her sisters, Helen Huizenga, Jess Zemaitis; sister-in-law, Marian Roelofs. Funeral services will be held on Friday 11 am at Faith Community Christian Reformed Church, 5250 Byron Center Ave., Wyoming, with Rev. Kenneth Havert officiating. Interment Grandville Cemetery. Relatives and friends may meet the family Thursday from 5-8 pm at Matthysse-Kuiper-DeGraaf Funeral Home (Grandville) 4145 Chicago Dr. SW. The family would like to thank Sunset Manor, where Aileen lived for the past 17 years, for the love and compassionate care given to her. Because of that love and care, in lieu of flowers, those who wish may make memorial contributions to Sunset Manor Patient Assistance Fund.
