Agnes Koomen, age 87, of Hudsonville, went home to be with her Lord Friday, August 10, 2018, and is now rejoicing in heaven with her Savior, Jesus Christ. She was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence Koomen; son, Scott Koomen; grandchildren, Steven. D. Van Singel, and Amber Koomen.  Agnes was a long time member of Immanual CRC where she was actively involved in the Prayer Shawl knitting ministry. She also volunteered her time and talents for many years at LOVE, INC. in Hudsonville.  She will be lovingly remembered by her children, Swanda and Doug Van Singel; grandchildren, Heidi and Greg Gelder, Brandon and Amber Van Singel, Brad and Beth Van Singel, Jared Koomen, Jesse Koomen; great-grandchildren, Lacey, Steven, Gavin, Chase, and Levi Gelder, Logan, Kierstyn Van Singel, Eliza, Connor, Nolan, and Porter Van Singel; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Marve and Marilyn Koomen; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, August 14, 2018 11:00 am at Matthysse-Kuiper-DeGraaf Funeral Home (Grandville) 4145 Chicago Dr. SW with Rev. Robert Huisman officiating.  Interment Georgetown Township Cemetery.  Relatives and friends may meet the family Monday from 5-7 pm at the funeral home and also from 10-10:45 am prior to the service on Tuesday.  Those who wish may make memorial contributions to LOVE, INC or to the Prayer Shawl Ministry of Immanual CRC.
