Marchinkewicz, Adam L. Adam L. Marchinkewicz, aged 78 of Grand Rapids, passed away on Sunday, November 23, 2014. Adam was born March 10, 1936 in Boyne Falls, MI. After 35 years of service at Hekman Furniture, he retired in 2001. Adam is survived by his wife of 48 years, Martha (nee Owens); son, Adam J. & Lisa Marchinkewicz (Lydia & Magdelyn); daughters, Wendy & John Lucas (Travis, Amanda, Spencer & Erin VanBennekom), Rhonda & Mark Crego (Shannon, Jessica, Whitney & Garrett), Rene Marchinkewicz (Michelle & Joshua); siblings, Cecilla Plotzke, Theresa Kulka, Joseph Marchinkewicz, Richard Marchinkewicz, Sally Street, David Morris, Mary Jane Blaine; as well as many brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his siblings, Eleanor Skierske and John Jajlowski. A funeral service for Adam will be held on Saturday at 11:00 am at Matthysse-Kuiper-DeGraaf Funeral Home, 4031 Clyde Park SW, Wyoming with Rev. Jeremy Visser officiating. Interment Resurrection Cemetery. Relatives and friends may meet the family at the funeral home on Friday from 4-7 pm and also on Saturday from 10-11 am prior to the service. Memorial contributions may be made to Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF) or American Heart Association.
