Abilio Gilberto Borrego, age 85, of Wyoming passed away on Wednesday, June 1, 2022. He was preceded in death by his parents, Salustino and Dolores Borrego; siblings, Georgina Borrego, Berto Borrego, and Oreste Borrego. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 60 years, Virginia Borrego; children, Teresita and Enrique Ferrer, Dori and Alexander Castillo, Thomas Borrego, Deanna Borrego; grandchildren, David Ferrer, Jennifer Ferrer, Brian Ferrer, Victoria Castillo, Vanessa Castillo, Veronica Castillo, Jacob Castillo, Anthony Borrego; great grandson, Bryson Ferrer; siblings, Felipe and Norma Borrego, Jorge and Dulce Borrego; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Dan and Felica Herbst, Justo Lopez, Rosita Lopez, Marie Lopez; extended family and friends. Abilio enjoyed staying busy, particularly carpentry building items out of wood. Family was most important to Abillio and he loved spending time with them. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 12 noon Wednesday, June 8, 2022 at St. John Vianney Church, 4101 Clyde Park Avenue SW, Wyoming, with Rev. John Vallier officiating. Burial Resurrection Cemetery. Relatives and friends may meet the family Tuesday, June 7, 2-4 and 6-8 pm at Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Funeral Home, 4031 Clyde Park Avenue SW, Wyoming with a Rosary at 7 pm.
