Mary Lynne Bayer (Holcomb), age 81, of Jenison, received her angel wings and is now dancing in Heaven.  She was preceded in death by her son-in-law, Roger Borst; grandson, Brandon LeDuc; parents, Dr. John and Eugenia Holcomb.  Mary Lynne was a woman of strong faith and character with a heart big enough to love everyone.  Over the years Mary Lynne and her husband, Bill, were blessed to live on the road in their RV visiting God’s creations across the country and establishing many friendships along the way.  She enjoyed doing crafts, especially sewing, quilting, and coloring.  Mary Lynne enjoyed playing games and winning made her very happy.  Above all, her love and care for her family was evident to all who knew her.  She will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 60 years, William “Bill” Bayer; children, John Bayer, Marianne Borst, David and Chris Bayer, Carol and Butch Shine, Jane Fannon, Peggy and Cary Malaski; 16 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; brothers, Charlie and Liz Holcomb, John and Dorothy Holcomb, Bill and Marilyn Holcomb; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Mary Alice Newkirk, Tom and Mary Bayer, Alice and Bob Newsome.  A mass of Christian burial will be held on Saturday, December 7, 2019, 11 am at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church, 2700 Baldwin St., Jenison with Fr. Colin Mulhall officiating.  Relatives and friends may meet the family on Friday from 4-7 pm at the church with a vigil to follow at 7 pm, and on Saturday from 10-10:45 am prior to the service.  In lieu of flowers, those who wish are asked to consider memorial contributions to Hospice of Holland.  The family would like to express their sincere thanks to the staff and caregivers at American House in Jenison and Hospice of Holland, especially Sarah, Megan, Danielle, and Jennifer, for the compassionate care and love given to Mary Lynne.
