Rev. Marilyn “Kay” Dehen, age 80, of Grand Rapids passed over into Glory on Wednesday, November 7, 2018. She was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Henry; parents, Claude and Lillian Umfleet; brothers, Larry and Michael Umfleet. Marilyn will be lovingly remembered by her children, Dan and Deb Dehen, Darcy and Roger Meyer, Debra Sue and Winston Hunt, David and Christina Dehen, Mary and Bill Stewart, Clay and Ann Dehen; grandchildren, Jon (Ashley), Emily (Sean), Lacey (Andy), Renee, Amanda (Mai-Khoi), Samantha (Mario), Cole, Danny, Gabriel; great grandchildren, Brody, Natalie, Grayson, Noble, Roman; brother, Clark and Leanora Umfleet; and extended family and friends. Marilyn was the Executive Director of Project Mighty Voice, a ministry dedicated to giving a voice to prisoners, the sick, the poor, the brokenhearted, orphans and widows. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, November 10, 2018, at Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Funeral Home (Grandville), 4145 Chicago Drive SW, with Rev. David Dehen officiating. Interment Rosedale Memorial Park. Relatives and friends may meet the family Saturday from 10-10:45 a.m. at the funeral home prior to the service.
