Gordon Edward Aulbach, age 91, of Grand Rapids, was called to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus, on Thursday, December 5, 2019.  He was preceded in death by his wife, Renata; daughter, Elizabeth; son-in-law, John Michel; Baby George; sisters Laura Gibson, Margaret Rigby.  He will be lovingly remembered by his children, Marguerite and Gary Hansma, Angela and Thomas Morse, Kathryn Lund, Helene Michel, Philip Aulbach, Gordon and Laura Aulbach, Louise and Fernando Pfeiffer, George and Sharon Aulbach, Renata and Thomas Thrall; 20 grandchildren; 31 great grandchildren with two on the way; sister, Mary Welch, many nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends. Gordon valiantly served his country in the US Army after World War II.  While overseas he discovered and married his wife of 63 years, Renata.  Gordon was a warm, loving, caring, gentle man who always had a smile for those he met.  He was devoted to his wife and family and made sure they were taken care of.  He was a lifelong member of St. John Vianney Catholic Church and praised God by singing in the choir.  Gordon worked as a meat cutter at Fred’s Trading Post for many years.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, December 10, 2019, at 11 am at St. John Vianney Church, 4101 Clyde Park SW, Wyoming, with Rev. John Vallier presiding. Interment Resurrection Cemetery. Relatives and friends may meet the family Monday from 5 - 8 pm at Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Funeral Home, 4031 Clyde Park SW, Wyoming with a Rosary at 7:30 pm.  Those who wish may make memorial contributions to Faith Hospice.
