Ernest “Ernie” Tuffs Jr.

Ernest “Ernie” Frederick Tuffs Jr., age 72, of Kentwood, passed away Thursday, July 21, 2016. He was preceded in death by his wife, Marsha.  He is survived by his daughter, Lori Lynn and Dean Van Spronsen; grandchildren, Trisha Lynn, Brecka Nicole, and Andrew John; brother Jim (Bev) Tuffs; sisters, Winnie (Bernie) Young, Shirley Jo (John) Atkins; many nieces and nephews. Ernie proudly served his country in the US Navy aboard the USS Little Rock. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, July 26, 11:00 am at Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf (Kentwood), 4646 Kalamazoo Ave. SE, with Pastor Dennis Gilbert officiating. Interment Pine Hill Cemetery. Relatives and friends may meet the family Tuesday from 10-11 am prior to the service at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Wounded Warriors.
