Darlene Timmer

Darlene Carroll Timmer, age 90, of Wyoming, was lifted into the arms of Jesus while in the presence of her loving family on Thursday, January 30, 2020. She was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Clarence; parents, Dorothy and Louis Larson; brother, Larry Larson; sister, Edna Hann. She will be lovingly remembered by her daughters, Cynthia TerHaar, Brenda and Brian Morrison; brothers, James Widdis, Louis Larson; sister, Betty Greene; sister-in-law, Lillian Bosscher; special niece, Jan Holtrop; her companion dogs, Dash and Lucy; and many nieces and nephews. Darlene loved her Lord, waking up every day with a smile on her face, thanking Him for another beautiful day. She taught Sunday school, vacation bible school, was the head of the catering committee and a charter member of Rogers Heights CRC. Darlene worked in retail as a cosmetic representative, pharmacy manager and grocery store owner. She had a passion for animals, giving several cats and dogs a loving home. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, February 8, 2020, 11 am at Faith Community Christian Reformed Church, 5250 Byron Center Ave SW, Wyoming, with Rev. Roger Groenboem officiating. Interment Cascade Cemetery. Relatives and friends may meet the family Friday from 5-7 pm at Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Funeral Home (Grandville) 4145 Chicago Dr. SW. Those who wish may make memorial contributions to Faith Community CRC.
