Zoraida “Halla” Sanchez

Zoraida “Halla” Sanchez, age 78, of Grand Rapids, passed away on Wednesday, October 26, 2022. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jesus Sanchez. She will be lovingly remembered by her children, Victor (Jeanette), Nitza, Maria (Jesus), Edgardo, and Abram; 12 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; 6 great great grandchildren; siblings, Desi “Papo”, Manuel “Jr.”, and Teresa. Zoraida cared for many children in the Grand Rapids area. Funeral services will be held 11 am Monday, October 31 at Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Funeral Home, 4031 Clyde Park Avenue SW, Wyoming, with Pastor Alex Fernandez and Fr. Steven Cron officiating. Burial will be held at Resurrection Cemetery. Relatives and friends may meet the family Sunday from 2-4 pm at the funeral home, and from 10-11 am on Monday prior to the service.
