
Wilma Vredevoogd, age 92, of Grandville, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Thursday, October 8, 2020. Wilma was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Jack; brother, Neil VanderMarkt; son-in-law, Dennis Hopkins Sr.; grandson, Ryan Sweeney; great grandson, Hunter John Kerkstra; many sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law. Wilma will be lovingly remembered by her children, Bonnie and Dale Kerkstra, Janet Hopkins, Jack and Peggy Vredevoogd, Sharon and Les Holwerda, Dick and Sue Vredevoogd, Scott and Linda Vredevoogd; 35 grandchildren; 38 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; siblings, Gesena Scholma, Ruth and Bill Roon, Richard VanderMarkt, Millie and Rev. Jack VanderLaan; sisters-in-law, Betty Zwemer, Penny Dykstra; many nieces and nephews, extended family and friends. Wilma was a long-time member of South Grandville Christian Reformed Church. She was also an avid and accomplished quilter. Funeral services will be held on Monday, October 12, 11 am at Fellowship Reformed Church (please use door A or D), 6610 36th Ave, Hudsonville, 49426 with Rev. John Witvliet and Rev. Jack VanderLaan officiating. Burial Grandville Cemetery. Relatives and friends may meet the family on Sunday, October 11, from 5:30-8:30 pm at Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Funeral Home (Grandville) 4145 Chicago Dr. SW. Masks are required at the visitation and the funeral service. In lieu of flowers, those who wish may make memorial contributions to Reach Beyond (Geoff and Tammy Kooistra, grandchildren) or International Association for Refugees (April Palmbos, granddaughter).
