William Dean Ostreko

William “Bill” D. Ostreko, age 86, of Jenison, passed away on Holy Thursday, April 14, 2022. Bill was a kind and loving husband, dad, and grandpa who dearly treasured his family. He was a Navy Veteran, proudly serving his country. He enjoyed the outdoors, especially golfing, fishing, and hunting. Bill retired from Lear Siegler/Smiths Industries after 26 years of dedicated employment. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Mary Sadler along with infant grandson, Nicholas; grandson, Jack Ostreko; parents, John and Mary Ostreko; one brother, and three sisters. Bill will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 57 years, Martha; children, Deana and Wade Schut, Deb and Jeff Maddox, John and Katie Ostreko, Joe and Lori Ostreko; grandchildren, Libby Maddox, Jacob Maddox, Sydney Maddox, Dylan Schut, Holly Schut, Ryan Ostreko. Funeral Mass will be held at 11 am on Thursday, April 21, 2022 at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church, 2700 Baldwin St., Jenison, with Fr. Colin Mulhall presiding. Interment will take place at Resurrection Cemetery. Relatives and friends may meet the family Wednesday from 6-8 p.m. at Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Funeral Home (Grandville) 4145 Chicago Dr. SW and also from 10-11 prior to the service on Thursday at church.
