Wayne N. Klinkner

Wayne N. Klinkner, age 94, of Wyoming passed away peacefully on Monday, March 24, 2025.  He was born March 14, 1931 in Grand Rapids to the late Albert and Gladys Klinkner.  Wayne served his country in the U.S. Army.  He then worked for Bissell for many years before retiring. Wayne was also involved with Junior achievement while working with Bissell. He married the former Helen Johnson and were married for over 69 years before she died in 2023. Wayne enjoyed fishing, photography , woodworking and especially enjoyed a good round of golf.  He and his wife spent a lot of time traveling and hosting family and friends on the Muskegon River.  Wayne will always be remembered for his smoked salmon pate, fudge and his dry sense of humor.

He will be lovingly remembered by his children, Mike (Steffanie) Klinkner, Peter (Su) Klinkner, Laura Phenix; grandchildren: Ben, Mikey, Sarah, Nick, Lisa, Casey, Holly; and many great-grandchildren.  Also surviving are two sisters; Caroline Miller, Sue (George) Kleibusch.  He was predeceased by three sisters, Eloise, Rosemary and Imy.

Relatives and friends may meet the family from 2 -5 on Sunday, March 30, 2025 at  Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Funeral Home, 4031 Clyde Park Ave SW, Wyoming. Per Wayne’s wishes cremation has taken place and interment will be held at Rosedale Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, those who wish may make memorial contributions to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
