Ward Alvin Wohlford

​Ward Alvin Wohlford, age 89, of Jenison, went to be with the Lord on Monday, August 2, 2021. He worked for MX and Central Transport as a truck mechanic for 43 years. In retirement, Ward enjoyed his place at the lake, traveling, and wintering in Florida. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Connie; second wife, Frances; daughter, Judith; six brothers. He will be lovingly remembered by his children, Sandra and Leon Slagter, Kevin and Sharon Wohlford, Penny and Luis Saenz, Gloria Johnson, Wayne Traver, Bruce Traver, Carol Stanley, Randy Traver, Wendy Clack, Deb and Tim Cornell; many grandchildren; great-grandchildren; great great grandchildren; sisters, Virginia and Dave Jenison, Marsena and Walt Klawiter; sister-in-law, Connie Wohlford; many nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held on Friday 10:30 am at Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Funeral Home, 4145 Chicago Dr., Grandville, with Lu Saenz officiating. Burial at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. Relatives and friends may meet the family Thursday from 2-4 and 6-8 pm at Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Funeral Home, 4145 Chicago Dr., Grandville. In lieu of flowers, those who wish may make memorial contributions to Faith Hospice.
