Walter Kass

Walter Kass, age 93, of Grand Rapids, passed away peacefully in his sleep on Tuesday, October 21, 2025. He will be lovingly remembered by his sons, Bruce Kass, Tom Kass; granddaughters, Audrey and Carolyn; great grandson, Killian; sisters-in-law, Karen Kass, Ellen Wassink; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Carolyn; son, Randall Kass; daughter-in-law, Malinda Kass; sister and brothers, Fran (Casey) Dykstra, Ted (Ellen) Kass, twin brother, Frank (Dorothy) Kass, Dave Kass; brothers-in-law and sister-in-law, Roger Wassink, and Donna (Ralph) Dik. Walter was a loving husband, father, grandfather and he proudly served his country in the United States Army. A funeral service will be held 11 am, Tuesday, October 28, 2025, at Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Funeral Home, 4646 Kalamazoo Ave. SE, Kentwood, with Rev. Dennis Gilbert officiating.  Burial will be held at Blain Cemetery.  Relatives and friends may meet the family from 9-11 am prior to the start of the service at the funeral home.
