Vivian Jean Veldkamp

Vivian Jean Veldkamp, age 94, of Grand Rapids, went to be with her Lord on Friday, December 2, 2022. Vivian was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harry Veldkamp; brother, Harold Nousen; sister, Shirley Wubbeling; granddaughter, Amy DeKock; and son-in-law, Wayne Schuiteman. She is survived by her children, Doug (Marlae) Veldkamp, Joyce Schuiteman, Tom (Judy) Veldkamp, Jim (Barb) Veldkamp, Roger (Carol) Veldkamp, Randy (Jill) Veldkamp, Rick (Heather) Veldkamp, Jack (Joan) Veldkamp; and many beloved grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Harry and Vivian spent their summers at Shady Shores on Gun Lake enjoying family and friends. Many people were blessed through Vivian’s love of baking, cooking, and cards. Funeral services will be held at 11 am on Monday, December 5, 2022, at Raybrook Manor Chapel, 2121 Raybrook St. SE, Grand Rapids with Chaplain Josh Baron officiating. Burial will be held at Woodlawn Cemetery. Relatives and friends may meet the family Sunday from 2-3:30 pm at Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf (Grandville), 4145 Chicago Dr. SW and on Monday one hour prior to the service at the chapel. In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Vivian may be made to the Raybrook Manor Resident Assistance Fund.
