Virginia Mae Vanderstel

Virginia Mae (née Toles) Vanderstel, age 88, of Kentwood, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, January 4, 2020.  She was preceded in death by her husband, John Vanderstel III; daughter, Nedra “Kelly” (Galen) Bennett; son; David (Sandy) Gilbert.  She will be lovingly remembered by her children: Robert (Bonnie) Vanderstel, Missy (Robert) Goodell, Debbi (Steve) Baker, Carol Vander Stel, Barbara Vander Stel; 22 grandchildren; many great grandchildren and great great grandchildren; sister, Marge Anglebrandt.  She was licensed as an LPN/nurse on August 18, 1958 and retired from Metro Hospital after many years.  Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Thursday at Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Funeral Home, 4031 Clyde Park SW, Wyoming, with Pastor Dennis Gilbert officiating.  Interment Oakhill Cemetery.  Relatives and friends may meet the family Wednesday from 5-8 p.m. at the funeral home.  Those who wish may make memorial contributions to American Diabetes Association or American Heart Association.
