Viola Padding

Viola Padding, age 98, of Jenison, MI, passed away on Thursday, October 19, 2023. Viola was raised on a farm in Zutphen Township and married her husband, Harold, in 1948. They served as missionaries in Nigeria for the Christian Reformed Church for 14 years. Upon retirement, Viola and Harold, did volunteer ministry service both in the United States and overseas. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Padding; sisters, Sena Sprik, Connie Deweerd, Gerrietta VerHage, Ethel Wyngarden, Marian VerHage, and Ella Schermer. She will be lovingly remembered by her son, Paul (Khristi Wilkins) Padding; granddaughter, Rachel Padding; and many dearly loved nieces and nephews and their families. A memorial service will be held at 11 am on Monday, October 30, 2023 at Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Funeral Home (Grandville) 4145 Chicago Dr. SW with Pastor Jerry Postema officiating. Burial will take place at East Drenthe Cemetery. Relatives and friends may meet the family one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
