Vernon Lee Langeland

Vernon Lee Langeland, age 77, of Coopersville, was called home to be with his Lord and Savior on Sunday, October 18, 2015. He was preceded in death by his parents, Fred and Winifred Langeland. He retired from the Ottawa County Road Commission after 33 years of faithful service. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 55 years, Phyllis; son, Clayton Langeland; grandson, Jared Langeland; brothers, Chuck and Bernice Langeland, Fred and Shirley Langeland; sister, Norma and Bernie Kloet; sisters-in-law, Thelma Muller, Maxine Schut; many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on Thursday 11 am at Coopersville Christian Reformed Church, 200 Henry St., Coopersville, with Rev. Steve Bussis officiating. Interment Coopersville Cemetery. Relatives and friends may meet the family Wednesday from 5-8 pm at Matthysse-Kuiper-DeGraaf Funeral Home (corner of Scott and Avery) 6651 Scott St., Allendale and on Thursday from 10-11 am prior to the service at church. In lieu of flowers, those who wish may make memorial contributions to Spectrum Health Hospice.
