Tyler Russo, 39, of Comstock Park, passed away on November 22, 2025, after a courageous battle with Neurofibromatosis. Through every challenge, Tyler faced life with strength and unwavering optimism.

Tyler was someone you could always count on, no matter the time, no matter the situation. He would drop everything to help friends and family, and he lived his life with generosity, loyalty, and quiet resilience.

He was passionate about travel, embracing every adventure it offered. He loved disc golf, kayaking, boating, snowboarding, fishing, camping, biking and hiking. In addition to his love of the outdoors he enjoyed working on anything with an engine. If it got him outside or let him work with his hands, he was in his element. He was naturally gifted with an intuitive understanding of how things worked. He had a true knack for building, fixing, and putting things together. If he wasn’t working on a project, you would find him enjoying a craft beer.

Through 17 years of multiple surgeries, procedures, treatments and recoveries, he remained optimistic. The last five years were especially difficult, yet Tyler never lost positivity. His attitude, courage, and determination inspired everyone who knew him. His strength was quiet but powerful, and his presence made life better for those around him.

Tyler will be deeply missed by his family, friends and all who were fortunate enough to share in his life. His memory, his laughter, and his generous heart will carry on in every story and every moment he touched.

Tyler is survived by his parents Pete and Diane Russo; his siblings Andrea (Michael) Leestma, Kaileigh (Ed) Capozzi and Shelby Russo, as well as his nieces and nephew; Aubrey, Connor, Adelaide and Talia.

Family and Friends may meet the family from 4:00pm-8:00pm, Monday, December 1st, 2025, at Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Funeral Home, 1601 Post Drive NE, Belmont. Those who wish may make memorial contributions to the Children's Tumor Foundation.
