Torrey Edward Feutz, age 64, passed away peacefully at home with his loving wife by his side on Monday, June 23, 2025. He was born on February 3, 1961, in Orange, California, to John David and Kate Feutz.
Torrey was preceded in death by his father, John David Feutz; his sister, Robyn Elise Feutz Braithwaite; his mother-in-law, Patricia Lou Renney; sister-in-law, Linda Sue Renney Brown; and brother-in-law, Ralph Charles Renney.
He was the devoted husband of Cynthia Lenn Renney and the beloved older brother to Troy (Garnet) Feutz, Tobyn (Stacey) Feutz, Tad Feutz, Rachel (Scottie) Feutz, and Trent Feutz. He was also cherished by his father-in-law, Ralph Elden Renney; sisters-in-law, Kimie (Bryan Loveless) Renney, Julia (Rick) Parker, and Tina (Gabe) Melinn; and brother-in-law, Mark Renney. Torrey leaves behind many loving nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and countless friends.
A proud 1979 graduate of Union High School, Torrey went on to study drafting at Grand Rapids Junior College and became a journeyman in sheet metal. He dedicated 30 years of his life to Steel Supply and Engineering, where he worked as a structural steel fabricator.
Torrey lived life to the fullest — full Bora, as those who knew him best would say. He pushed the limits in everything he did, pouring his heart and energy into every adventure, project, and moment. Whether he was out hunting, casting a line, or exploring new places, he approached it all with fierce enthusiasm. He was known for his expert BBQ and smoked meats, often prepared on the custom smokers he crafted himself — both for personal use and as gifts for family and friends. Torrey did it all with unstoppable passion and joy. His greatest happiness, however, was time spent with his beloved “Cinderella.”
He will be remembered for his remarkable artistic talent, his creativity, his deep love for animals, his endless curiosity, and his quirky, unforgettable sense of humor. Torrey’s presence left a mark on all who knew him, and he will be missed beyond words.
