Todd Michael Bogardus, age 43, of Dorr, went to be with his Heavenly Father on Thursday, June 13, 2024. We are so thankful we have the comfort of knowing Todd is a child of God. Todd treasured his family and the traditions and values that were instilled by his parents which shaped him into the loving man he was. Todd loved and cherished his wife, being a dad, and becoming a grandpa. Todd loved his nieces and nephews and was adored by them. Todd was extremely hard working and loved his job, especially when it came to restoring old vehicles to their former glory. His passion for his work shined through in every job. He loved what he did and he did it well. His coworkers became his family. He always had projects going on around the house and had time for anyone who asked for his help. In his spare time, he enjoyed four-wheeling, being in the pool, and driving RC cars and boats while spending time with his family and friends. What he will be remembered for most is his contagious energy and easy-going nature. He could strike up a conversation and a friendship with anybody and for that he will be dearly missed. He was preceded in death by his son, Adrian Thomas Bogardus; grandma, Jane Kooienga; grandpa, Paul Bogardus Jr.; and grandma, Barbara Bogardus. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 24 years, Deborah; children, Chastity (Joseph) Fish, Caidance Bogardus, Isaac Bogardus, Elizabeth Bogardus, Theodore Bogardus; grandchildren, Anneliese Fish, Levi Fish, Mary Jane Bogardus; parents, Michael and Sharon Bogardus; siblings, April Cummings, Cam (Rebecca) Bogardus; nieces and nephews, Kailynn (Jesse) Cummings, Audrey Bogardus, Jacob Bogardus, Keegan Bogardus, Caleb Bogardus; and many dear cousins and friends. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, June 18, at 6 p.m. at Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Funeral Home (Grandville) 4145 Chicago Dr. SW with Pastor Cody Kuehl officiating. The burial will take place at Salem Township Cemetery. Relatives and friends may visit with the family on Tuesday from 4:00-5:45 p.m. at the funeral home prior to the service.
