Timothy Dale Whetstone

Timothy Dale Whetstone, age 75, of Berrien Springs, MI and New Orleans, LA, passed away on Saturday, July 15, 2023. He was preceded in death by his parents, Donald (“D.J.”) and Jane Whetstone; and his wife of 29 years, Joyce Haney Whetstone. He will be lovingly remembered by his brother, Joel (Bonnie) Whetstone; his cousins, Kelly (Jeff) Jahn and Michael (Cathy) Whetstone; and his best friend, Glen Soloman. Tim attended school in Berrien Springs, MI and continued his education at Michigan State University where he earned his bachelor’s degree in advertising. He worked in the advertising field for the local newspaper in Benton Harbor, MI, for several years and then moved to Atlanta, GA, to further his career. From Atlanta, Tim moved to New Orleans, LA, where he would, over several decades, continue and conclude his career working with a large company that provided advertising in the transportation market. While in New Orleans, Tim met and married his wife, Joyce. Together they enjoyed traveling to the several timeshares they owned around the country. Tim also enjoyed walking around the various areas that he lived and traveled in, enjoyed the water and the beaches, and had a fondness for good restaurants, dining on oysters on the half shell, po-boy sandwiches, and other local favorites, always with a nice glass of wine.
