
Thomas Lambert was born November 24, 1929, in Detroit, Michigan. He passed on peacefully to heaven February 18, 2022, surrounded by family. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ellen and Thomas Lee Lambert; wife, Marilyn; stepfather, John McGinty; his sister, Jean; and closest friends, Doug and Peggy Dye and Mike Bordine. Tom married the love of his life, Marilyn, on September 25, 1955, and shared 52 years together raising their sons: Tom, Tim, and Terry. He leaves his legacy through eight grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. Tom was an Army veteran and served in the Korean War. He attended Michigan State University where he earned his Criminal Law Enforcement degree. Tom was a Federal Law Enforcement Agent and reached the height of his career in Washington D.C. serving as Chief of National Affairs. Tom was a true outdoorsman. He loved a cold, windy day of duck hunting with his best friend, Doug Dye, a snowy morning hunting deer with his sons, and a sunny afternoon fishing with his grandchildren. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 23, 2022, from 4-6 p.m. at Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Funeral Home (Grandville), 4145 Chicago Dr. SW. A special memorial service officiated by his granddaughter, Rev. Katie Lance, will follow at 6 p.m. Please join the family for dinner and refreshments immediately following the service.
