Thomas E. Hoekstra

Thomas E. Hoekstra, age 59, of Hudsonville, went to be with the Lord on Monday, October 19, 2015. Tom was a man of integrity and will be dearly missed as a wonderful husband, dad, papa, son, brother, friend and mentor to many. He had been an employee at Amway for 36 years and considered them his family. Surviving are his wife of 37 years, Pat; his children and grandchildren, Trisha and Erron Peuse (Eagan, Charlotte, Oliver, Ezekiel), Audra and Jason Nelson (Christian, Lennyn), Katelyn and Nicholas Lenger (Dashiell, Mabel, Rockwell), Megan and Jonathan Geenen (Rowan, Willow); mother, Janet Hoekstra; brother, Arthur and Thressa Hoekstra; sister, Kimberly and Steven Visser; sister-in-law, Rachael Hoekstra; father-in-law, Konrad and Marilyn Marcus; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Connie and Glen VanderWell, Deb and Rick Dykstra, Jon and Jane Marcus, Tim and Tracie Marcus; many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Arthur; brother, Jim; mother-in-law, Jeanne Marcus. A memorial service will be held on Friday 11 am at Fair Haven Church, 2900 Baldwin, Hudsonville, with Rev. Mical Pugh, Rev. Greg Vander Meer and Rev. Tom Elenbaas officiating. Interment Georgetown Township Cemetery. Relatives and friends may meet the family Thursday from 2-4 and 6-8 pm at Matthysse-Kuiper-DeGraaf Funeral Home (Grandville) 4145 Chicago Dr. SW.
