Michael Potgeter

Michael Dale Potgeter, age 69, of Allendale, went to be with his Lord on Tuesday, May 5, 2026. He was preceded in death by his wife of 34 years, Sheila; mother, Shirley Potgeter; mother-in-law, Mae Eaton; brother-in-law, Jack Ossewaarde. Mike will be lovingly remembered by his sons, Greg (Rebekah) Potgeter, Kurt (Andrea) Potgeter, Steve (Jodi) Potgeter, Jared (Heather) Potgeter; grandchildren: Benjamin, Luke, Simon, Kaylee, Lucy, Liam, Abigail; father, Ken Potgeter; father-in-law, Alvin Eaton; siblings, Joe (Laura) Potgeter, Kris Gorney; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Sharon Ossewaarde, Amy (Brian) McMurray, Robin (Mark) Twiest; Dennis (Kim) Eaton; many nieces and nephews. Mike was a good old-fashioned “farm boy” who enjoyed fishing, snowmobiling, and attending tractor shows. He treasured his car rides with Ruby, his pug, who was his faithful companion and his connection to his wife, Sheila. Funeral services will be held at 11 am on Monday, May 11, 2026, at Robinson Baptist Church, 12011 120th Ave., Grand Haven with Pastor Mark Congrove officiating. Burial will take place at Allendale Township Cemetery. Relatives and friends may visit with the family Monday from 10-11 am at the church prior to the service.
