Steven Joseph Karas

Steven Karas, age 71, of Grand Rapids passed away on Tuesday, June 24, 2025. He was preceded in death by his wife, Deborah; parents, Merv and Mary Karas; siblings, Michael Karas. He will be lovingly remembered by his daughters, Jennifer (Michael) Ramsey, Brandy (Brandon) Hobbs; grandchildren, Gabriel Bogginao, Tayah Bogginao, Nolan Hobbs; great-grandson, Thomas Bogginao; sisters and brothers, Carol (Jim) Keller, Douglas (Kim) Karas, Catherine Bertschinger, Janice Gould, Patricia (Tim) Zerkle; Deborah’s family, Mike (Tina) Coffman, Renee Blett, Shane Coffman, Steve Kranenberg; and many special cousins, nieces, and nephews. Steve was a hard worker and always had a project going.  He enjoyed fishing and traveling with his wife and friends.  Steve will be greatly missed. Funeral services will be held 10 am on Monday, July 7, 2025 at MKD Stegenga Funeral Chapel, 3131 S. Division Ave. Wyoming.  Burial will be held at Blain Cemetery.  Relatives and friends may meet the family Sunday from 5-7 pm at the funeral chapel and on Monday for one hour prior to the service at the funeral chapel. Those who wish may make memorial contributions to the Alzheimer’s Association.
