Steve Popma

Steve Patrick Popma, age 40, of Grandville, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, November 26, 2018. He was preceded in death by his sister, Julie Ann; grandparents, Harold and Irene Popma, Ray and Rita Klein; and cousin, Todd Velding.  He is survived by his wife, Ginger Popma; children, Benjamin, and Josiana; father, Steve Popma (Norma Tellez); mother, Patty Popma (Bert Brown); father-in-law, Terry and Lori Compagner; mother-in-law, Kelly Maguire; sister, Lorie LaHuis; brother, Jason and Katie Popma; half sister, Natalie Ann Popma; many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends. A celebration of Steve’s life will be held on Monday, December 3, 2018 at 11 a.m. at Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Funeral Home (Grandville) 4145 Chicago Dr. SW.  Relatives and friends may meet the family on Sunday from 4-7 p.m. at the funeral home and on Monday from 10-10:45 a.m. prior to the service at the funeral home. Those who wish may make memorial contributions to the Down Syndrome Association of West Michigan.
