Steve Dukes

Steve Dukes, age 60, of Wyoming, was called to his heavenly home on Thursday, April 27, 2023. Steve was a kind and loving dad, grandfather, brother, and friend who had a huge heart to help others. Through his life challenges of addiction, he used this in a positive way to mentor and help others on their road of recovery. Steve was very proud of his past 14 years of sobriety. He was a faithful employee at the Screen Printing Department where he was a supervisor for many years. Many friendships were made during his time there. Steve had the love of animals, especially cats. He was proud and very supportive of his daughter beginning a cat rescue program, The Next Chapter Cat Rescue. Steve also had a love for the open road riding his motorcycle “Little Blue” whenever he had the chance. He was preceded in death by parents, Roger and Betty Hansman. He will be lovingly remembered by his children, Stevie and Trina Dukes, Nick Dukes, Amber and Sam Gort, Kiara Dukes (Kevin Ensley), Chelsea Weidman; 9 grandchildren; siblings, Thomas Vigil, Kim and Rob Grey; many loving extended family and friends. At Steve’s request, cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held at a later date. Those who wish may make memorial contributions to The Next Chapter Cat Rescue or to the Alano Club.
