Stanley Wayne Walker, age 84, of Hudsonville, passed away peacefully and went to be with his Lord on Monday, December 13, 2021. Stanley was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He graduated from Coopersville High School in 1955, and was honored to be selected to play tuba in the first Air Force Band at the age of 18. He worked for the defense contractor, EG&G, for over 40 years in Las Vegas. After moving back to West Michigan, he served as the president of the Rush Creek Meadows Association for several years. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 38 years, Sharon; children, Joe and Veronica Walker, Mary and Dr. William Bannon, Shari Sullivan, Ronda and Rick Nielsen, Cindy and Jim Daldos, Tim and Sandy Teets; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and sister-in-law, Cathy Walker. Our family would like to thank the staff at American House Cherrywood for their care of Stan. We are eternally grateful for their care and love of our husband, father and grandfather. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 8, 2022, at 1:00 p.m. at Fair Haven Church, 2900 Baldwin St., Hudsonville, with Rev. Jeremy Kreuze officiating.
