Skip Cone

Skip Cone, age 61, of Cedar Springs, passed away peacefully in his sleep on Wednesday, November 30, 2016, and joined his beloved wife of 35 years, Sandra, who preceded him in 2015. Skip was a kind and loving husband, dad, and grandpa who always put others before himself. He was blessed with the gift of humor, having the ability to always make people laugh. He was an avid outdoorsman, enjoying his photography of nature, fishing, and gardening. He will be lovingly remembered by his children, Jeremiah and Liesl Cone, Amanda Cone, and Adam Cone; granddaughter, Hailey Paige Cone; sisters and brothers, Mary Cone, Beverly and Marshall Stegall, Jackie and Harold Meester, Becky Cone, Kathy and Russ Kinney, Doug and Maria Cone, Bob Thielke; brothers-in-law, Greg and Cathi Vossekuil, Craig and Loni Vossekuil, Bryan and  Ann Vossekuil; sister-in-law, Dr. Cheryl Vossekuil; many cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday 10 am at Resurrection Life Church Chapel (Entrance K), 5100 Ivanrest Ave. SW, Wyoming.  Relatives and friends may meet the family Tuesday from 5-9 pm at Matthysse-Kuiper-DeGraaf Funeral Home (Grandville) 4145 Chicago Dr. SW.  Those who wish may make memorial contributions to the Humane Society of West Michigan.
